Elaine Elledge

Studio #212

Elaine is a printmaker whose current work combines collections of monotypes and transparent papers into colorful installations and wall hangings. The act of layering, sewing together, or cutting away at these fragile, translucent papers is a compelling exploration of weakness and regeneration. Elaine is a 2014 graduate of the printmaking program at Penn State University. She earned the Penn State Bruce Shobaken Endowed Award in Printmaking, which funded her time at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco as an artist in residence. In December 2018, she received a grant to complete her design for a large-scale, interactive, outdoor installation at Rhoneymeade Sculpture Garden and Arboretum. Recently, Elaine has shown her prints and paper quilts in galleries such as Second State Press in Philadelphia, Pyramid Atlantic in Washington D.C., Gathering Studios in Albuquerque, and The Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg. She works and lives in Midtown, Harrisburg with her spouse and two young children.
