Tiny Homestead Studio is an artisan retail brand run by April Henbest of Lititz, Pennsylvania. April is a mixed media illustrator whose work is inspired by mindful living and the grounding power of nature. April specializes in freehand illustration with a rustic, bohemian flair.
Tiny Homestead Studio is meant to facilitate a connection with the simpler parts of life. Much of the artwork is small enough to hold in the palm of your hand and the colors are specifically chosen for their calming effects. The brand draws from botanical inspiration, homesteading/farming culture, and positive messages about mental wellbeing. It seeks to draw attention to the need for nurturing, strength, and respecting the connection between mind and body.
April received a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media and Fine Art, Summa Cum Laude, from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Because of her varied schooling, April’s work also seeks to blend the digital and physical worlds of art- often using an iPad and gouache in the same creative session.
