Learn the ancient and eco-centered craft of natural dye with local artist Jovana Sarver of DirtPetal. We will explore how to create a botanical palette from plants, kitchen scraps, and Earth’s minerals. You’ll leave with an understanding of how to identify dye sources, pre-treat fabric, immersion dye, shift colors, and more!

All materials are provided.

Each student will receive:

-Two 20×20 Cotton Dinner Napkins (to dye)

-One 21 x 21 Silk Scarf (to dye)

-Printed handout and PDF w/ detailed instructions, tips, and resources.
