Jeff scorza

Studio #215

After 50 years in architecture and design—leading complex, multi-million-dollar projects with long timelines, strict budgets, and every detail accounted for—Jeff Scorza now creates with no clients, no deadlines, and no rules.

His sculptures are quick, spontaneous assemblages of unlikely companions: scrap wood, discarded metal, found objects, and above all—glass. Jeff is endlessly drawn to glass and what light does to it. Refraction. Glow. Movement. He often says, “I pretend I don’t know what glass is. But I know what everything else is, and I find ways to connect those things—to hold glass up to the light and let the light enliven it.”

Guided by the philosophy of art for art’s sake, Jeff’s work isn’t driven by function—it’s driven by feeling. Each piece invites us to reimagine the purpose of discarded things and see how light can breathe new life into the forgotten.
