Rachelle Lowe

Rachelle is a ceramic sculptor who resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland where she earned a BFA in Ceramics.

Lowe is a great collection of various interests, experiences, and observations. She watches and absorbs her surroundings and processes content. These elements are the foundation of her work. She utilizes hand building as a tool to construct her intuitively inspired sculpture. Insects have fascinated her since childhood and thus she incorporates katydids, beetles, and praying mantises into many of her works. She engages and inspires viewers through the color, form, and mystique of her art.
