In this playshop, you’ll be guided through the lush and layered art journaling process I have used with my high school art students for years. Together, we’ll explore the concept of giving ourselves “permission to…”–you fill in the blank. Participants will be encouraged to personally and playfully express the concept of giving yourself permission to do and be what and who you want in a safe, fun and step-by-step manner suitable to any skill level. A plethora of juicy materials for visual journaling will be provided.
**Please bring your own blank sketchbook—Strathmore’s 5.5 x 8” Visual Journal (Drawing OR Mixed Media) is a great choice, but any quality, wire-bound, blank sketchbook will do!
